AirPrint is an intermediate format. The iPad/iPhone converts a document to the AirPrint format and transmits it to the Printer.
An AirPrint printer converts from the AirPrint format to its native printing format(PS, PCL etc..). The 3rd party solutions available
on a desktop/ laptop computer, makes the computer look like an AirPrint printer(using AirPrint client). They converts the AirPrint
format to native printing format using printer drivers.
